I never worked a nite at Purple Onion that someone, at some band, didn't yell out a request for FREEBIRD!

Is it because it's the worst song ever recorded or the best?

Check out "99th Floor" by Moving Sidewalks (the band's guitarist moved to ZZ Top), and all the covers that song has had (Chesterfield Kings and Fuzztones among the best).

Louie Louie gets requested whenever its champions show up, but no candle to Freebird numbers of requests wise.

I think we should start yelling out "Beethoven's 7th, the allegretto!"
I once yelled out (the only time I yelled a request at them) "Cream Puff War" at the Grateful Dead (1978) because the tempo of every song was so dead...
yikes, listen to how fast they play "Good Lovin'"
in the May 19th 1966 archive show.

We were all young, once.

Nice review but you better watch out "Cream Puff", I'm beginning to understand you. :)
